The cost of bringing a group to BBSR
depends on the number of students. Click here for the current cost per student for room, board, and use of lecture lab and library facilities. One educational group leader is admitted free for every 10 fee-paying group members, although school groups should have one adult leader for every
six students. A non-refundable, non-transferable booking deposit of $160 per person is required four months in advance (this is negotiable). For transporting students to various field study sites, our boat and/or truck can be used for an additional charge. In some instances, it is possible to share transportation with another group, thus reducing your cost. Please refer to the fee schedule for details. While your group is in Bermuda, we request that you require your own school rules to be obeyed, as well as those of BBSR. No high school students are allowed to smoke on BBSR premises. Although BBSR's Education
Department cannot fully run the program for you, we can provide assistance with lectures and lab/field trips at an additional cost. First-time groups are entitled to assistance with arranging a curriculum and schedule, and one free lecture from a BBSR staff member. See our sample curriculum and What's New page for field trip ideas. It is strongly recommended that all prospective group leaders visit BBSR before bringing students. We can offer a special site visit rate of $50 per day to cover food and accommodation for a four-day/three-night period (or $75 per couple), and planning help from the Education Department.
If you have further questions, or would like to set up a site visit, please e-mail the Education Department.
