Volunteering at BBSRScientific Volunteers

Non-scientific volunteers
Local non-scientific volunteers are welcomed. If you have a few days or even a few hours to spare during the working week, BBSR would be delighted to hear from you.

There are many different areas at BBSR where volunteer assistance is gratefully received (see the volunteer information form). Volunteers are trained and/or supervised as appropriate. Most positions call for assistance during weekdays and normal working hours.

Due to immigration laws, BBSR is unable to host overseas volunteers working in areas not related to the scientific operation of BBSR.

To become a volunteer, please download and fill out both pages of the PDF volunteer information form, then fax or mail it to the contact at the top of the form. After receipt of your completed form, a BBSR staff member will contact you to discuss your availability.

For more information about becoming a BBSR volunteer, please e-mail Audrey Pope at apope(at)bbsr.edu or call 297-1880 ext. 206. Volunteers should be over 18 years of age.

BBSR also welcomes science volunteers, both local and overseas. Please see the Volunteer Internship Program page for more information.
