Diving Fees
BIOS is a member of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS). Complete details of BIOS's diving guidelines and FAQs are available at Diving and Snorkeling at BIOS. Contact the Dive Safety Officer if you require further information.
Dive Master Fees $84 per hour $250 per half day. The reduced half-day rate only applies to trips that begin and end within the hours shown below (see Boat Fees).
SCUBA Tanks $10 per fill. This includes use of tanks, weight belts and weights.
Boat Fees
R/V Henry M. Stommel with Operator Hourly rate:
$125 per hour (two-hour minimum)
Overtime rate*: $145 per hour
Half-day rate (8 am - noon): $400 per half day
Half-day rate (1 pm - 5 pm): $400 per half day
Half-day rate (overtime*): $465 per half day
* The reduced half-day rate only applies to trips that begin and end within the hours shown. Overtime rates apply to weekdays before 8 am, between noon and 1 pm, and after 5 pm, and to weekends and public holidays. Long-term charter rates are negotiable.
Cancellation Charges If booked marine and/or truck services are not utilized, a cancellation fee will be charged unless canceled at least 24 hours in advance.
ROV Fees
Remotely Operated Vehicle with Intern Assistance:
Half-day rate (8 am - noon): $350 per half day
Half-day rate (1 pm - 5 pm): $350 per half day

Truck Fees
Truck with Driver (30 people maximum)
Hourly rate: $78 per hour (one-hour minimum)
Overtime rate*: $101 per hour
Half-day rate (8 am - noon): $234 per half day
Half-day rate (1 pm - 5 pm): $234 per half day
Half-day rate (overtime*): $280 per half day
Pick-up and delivery charge: $88 per hour
Customs clearing charge: $58
Small truck without driver: $58 per hour (one-hour minimum)
* Overtime rates apply to weekdays before 8 am, between noon and 1 pm, and after 5 pm, and to weekends and public holidays. Long-term charter rates are negotiable. The truck is not available on Sundays or public holidays, unless by special request, for which there is a $35 surcharge. Advance request must be made for this as it requires a special permit from the local authorities.

A 25% surcharge will be added to all fees for non-resident users (except for meals, facilities fee and tanks).
