After working as a Research Intern for Rod Johnson in the summer of 2017, Quinn Montgomery officially joined the Bermuda Atlantic Time-series Study (BATS) team in September as a Research Technician. His primary responsibilities include running the HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) machine to study phytoplanktonas well as assisting with the PITs (particle interceptor trap) arrays aboard the R/V Atlantic Explorer, which are used to measure and study particle flux in the water column. 

Montgomery graduated in May 2017 from the University of San Diego with a bachelors in marine science, with an emphasis on biology.
