If 10 or more students from a single university enroll in the Fall Semester Program for 2008, each student will receive a $500 reduction in their BIOS tuition.
If 14 or more students from a single university enroll in the Fall Semester Program for 2008, each student will receive an additional $200 ($700 total) reduction in the cost of their BIOS tuition. Most students find that $500 will pay all (or at least a majority) of their airfare.
So, what are you waiting for?
Some great things to remember about Fall Semester at BIOS:
- You can scuba dive in incredibly blue water and receive credit for it.
- As a residential campus, your interaction with the faculty and staff is far more direct than is possible at your school. This is critical for recommendations for graduate school.
- Five weeks spent doing nothing but research is excellent preparation for graduate school and is impossible to achieve at your school since there are so many other courses going on.
- Students in past classes have received scholarships to return to Bermuda for the entire summer to continue projects started during this program.
- Bermuda is stunningly beautiful, with pink sand beaches and balmy weather all fall. Contrast that to the weather on your campus in November!
- True, the cost isn't as low as some other programs, but the experience and educational value is worth it.
- Bermuda is only two hours from the East Coast, so it's easy to visit your friends.
- Between the beaches, sailing and active nightlife, there is plenty to do on weekends.
- Significant scholarship awards are available to those with demonstrated need.
- Transfer credit for these courses is offered through University of Rhode Island.
