Applications are reviewed as received. All complete applications received by March 15, 2008 will be judged in the first round of admissions and scholarship decisions. Later applications will also receive consideration on a space-available basis.

Please send the following support materials to BIOS by March 15, 2008. We will begin notification for the courses as soon as possible, usually by April 16.

  • Two letters of recommendation from people competent to judge your potential for research
  • A personal resume
  • Transcripts (a list of courses and grades attained, issued by your university)

Your application is not complete without these materials!

Please note that visiting summer course students are not included within Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences medical and health insurance coverage. If you are successful in your application, you will need to arrange for personal medical (accident/illness) insurance coverage. Please make sure that your insurance covers scuba diving if your course requires diving. Dive equipment is not supplied by BIOS.
